Self-released? (2012)
Yet another black metal band. Where do they all come from? And does this band have what it takes to step out of the crowd? Sadly, no. Which doesn't mean that this album is bad or anything. It's just that there's nothing special about it.
You get your dose of fast black metal. The sound is levelled. The vocals are grim. But the music is simply too straight-forward to step out of the ordinary. Sadly, despite the downloading business, it doesn't help with a very good looking booklet. After all, you can't really listen to the booklet, now can you?
"Eternvs Mos…" is by all means a well done black metal release with the familiar ingredients. But it's not dark enough for those who prefer darkness, it's not technical enough for those who prefer technicality, it's not melodic enough for those who prefer melodies and it's not original enough for those who desire innovation in music. Thy Darkened Shade has a few good ideas, such as the latter part of "To Suffer The Perpetual Curses", but a few good ones do not make a full album.
