Eisenwald (2012)

Formloff means white bread in Norwegian, and the album title means "Vomit whore country"… All the lyrics are just as impressive as the album title, with "Me and shit", "Fuck!" and "The Kon-Tiki Museum is on fire" standing out. So, is this a joke only, or perhaps a counterweight to all the more or less "scary" and evil bands and album names in the black metal genre? Who knows…

Anyway, whatever the agenda is, the lyrics continues to impress throughout the album, and as I'm Norwegian and unfortunately understand every word, this is not an album that will be played much by me. Not only because of the "funny" lyrics and me being a humourless son of a bitch, but the music itself is below average avant-garde black metal, and just plain boring.
