Second time around for these Colchester guys, and it's not at all bad stuff they have to offer. It's a mixture with many different components – you have a base which consists of equal parts thrash and "classic" British metal, but with lots of other stuff added into; some Sepultura-like chuggy riffing, some dints Paradise Lost, Amorphis and some more.

The vocals are mainly in the thrash/death compartment, and are not the best of their kind, but they also have these Fear Factory-like clean vocals, which add another dimension to the music. The guitar solos are also very melodic and they are nice additions to the riff-oriented music. The sound is, fortunately, not too modern. The production itself is semi-modern but the songs and the structures are more in the '80's-style and that makes a nice combo.

They've certainly created a somewhat own identity, but it lacks a little bit in the songwriting compartment unfortunately to go all the way, though they have some potential live favorites on the album. But it will be exciting to watch these guys on the albums ahead; they may just have what it takes, and that could be pretty soon.
